In a 75-day trial, cantaloupe seedlings planted in soil treated with Zeba and irrigated with 50% of the normal amount of water produced larger, healthier plants with more melons. Return on investment (ROI) with Zeba was increased. Other findings in the group treated with Zeba included:

• significantly heavier plant weight after 18 days

• heavier root and plant weight, and taller plant height after 25 days

• less plant stress and greater leaf water potential after 49 days

• plants bloomed three days earlier

• earlier fruit maturity at heavier weights

• more melons at harvest

• fewer days to harvest
